May 12

Thursday we woke up around 6:45, davened, ate a yummy breakfast and headed to Haas Promenade, an overlook of the holy city of Jerusalem. We then took a stroll; A long, long, long stroll to the Old City where we went to a roof top to see the awesome view of the Old City. From there we went to the City of David and Hezekiah’s Tunnel. Some were hesitant at first to go in to the water tunnel and would have rather gone into the dry tunnel but in the end we were so happy to be waste deep in freezing cold water. What an experience! After that we took a walk to the Jewish Quarter where we had a scavenger hunt. We then saw the cool, amazing, outstanding, breathtaking Wall! That’s right, the Kotel!! For the first timers, it was amazing and beyond what was expected. For the old timers, it was still beyond cool. After that, Asaf (our counselor) took us into a “not open to the public” archeological dig where we learned so much about the first and second temple. After our tiring day of walking, we took a monit (taxi) back to our hotel for some R and R.
